MSI H-7187, 6-1/2" Wedge Clamp, is mechanical holding device used for strain relief in service applications. It has solid stainless bails that are used on eye hooks and insulators with a diameter larger than 1.5". This clamp is designed for low tension applications only, and also has a mechanical working load of 1,200 lbs.

Scope:
This item standard is intended for use in conjunction with CSA standard CAN/CSA-C83. This item is normally mounted on messenger strand and is used to terminate cable lashing wire.
Assembly:
The lashing wire clamp is comprised of two clamp sections, two flat washers, and two hex nut assemblies on a shouldered stud. The stud should key into one clamp section at assembly to prevent stud rotation as the nuts are tightened. This keying feature is constructed to allow proper closing of the jaws. Both ends of the stud should be suitably modified after assembly to prevent loss of the nuts.

The clamp will accommodate a range of messenger strand from 3/16″ to 9’16” diameter designated strand size
