The C-71-5H Earth Drill is the workhorse of the Ground Hog line, tried and tested for over 30 years. Also known as an " Anchor Drill". This is a two-man drill. Auger Bits sold separately.

The Ground Hog C-71-5 is two-man earth drill designed to deliver years of reliable service with superior performance. It has been a proven performer for over 40 years. It’s rugged design promotes durability and requires very little maintenance. The heart of this unit is our time-tested transmission. The transmission is an efficient worm drive design utilizing alloy steel shafts, large, tapered roller bearings and our standard 7/8” square auger drive.

Aluminum castings are used throughout the C-71-5's construction to produce a unit that is both strong and lightweight. The C-71-5 uses an air-cooled centrifugal clutch and a trigger-type, return-style throttle. Both operator positions are equipped with individual stop switches and tubular steel handlebars.

Please note: This drill will not drive anchors without pre-drilling a pilot hole. To drill a pilot hole, we highly recommend using the following auger extensions and auger: Qty 2 MANTA LB-9054 & Qty 1 MANTA LB-4SSC 50102.

The Ground Hog SD12 Standard Auger has a standard-style digging head for loose/sandy soil condition. This 12" Auger uses a screw-in fishtail centered pilot and bolt-on wide flat, hardfaced, standard side blades. All Ground Hog Augers are approximately
38"(3') in length and utilize a 7/8" standard square drive for interchangeability between Earth Drills.

The Pengo Series augers are general purpose augers and are the best choice for tough soil conditions.
